We are a fully licensed bar serving up student-friendly prices and legendary signature drinks.

  • Signature Sips: You haven’t truly experienced Huron until you’ve tried the Beaver Dam Slam or the energy-boosting Red Surge.

  • Fan Favorites: Try the Dirty Rob or a Pornstar.

  • On Tap & By The Bottle: We pour the classics like Corona and Alexander Keith's , but don't miss our house brew: the Powerhouse Dam Cream Ale.

  • Zero-Proof: We’ve got you covered with mocktails like the No Booze Blue Lagoon or a Pink Power.

The Cafe

Need a study boost? We serve Patrick’s Beans blends like "Velvet Hammer" and "Shotgun Romance".

  • Hot & Iced: Grab a Latte, Cappuccino, or Americano.

  • Specialty Teas: From Chai Lattes to Matcha, available hot or iced.

  • Customize It: Add a flavour shot like Salted Caramel or Toasted Marshmallow , or swap in Oat or Almond milk.

Planning a mixer, club social, or open mic night? The Dam is fully equipped to turn your vision into reality.

Venue Details

  • Vibe: Cozy booths for group work, a lounge area for mingling, and a stage for your main event.

  • Entertainment: A billiards table for when you need a study break.

  • Tech Specs: Full sound system, microphones, and projection capabilities available upon request.

  • Capacity: Perfect for intimate gatherings, club meetings, and medium-sized social events. (Note: Please specify your expected numbers in the booking form!)

Want to book The Dam? Student clubs and groups can reserve the space for private events! You can request bar service, tech support, and specific setups. As of January 27th, Huron and HUCSC organizations can now book the space through Events Pro. For all other inquiries please reach out to our manager operations.beaverdam@myhuron.ca .

Hours of Operation

Open for Hanging Out & Studying: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 8:30 PM (Come grab a booth, charge your phone, and relax!)
